Before you start
Connect your platforms
Sets require MakeEmoji Pro. Connect your Twitch channel in Account settings so MakeEmoji can find its 7TV, BetterTTV, and FrankerFaceZ emotes.
You can check platforms without the Publish Assistant. Install it when you are ready to publish changes.
Step 1
Create a Set
Add emotes from Creations or choose Add entry. Give each emote the name it should use on the platforms. Add a source image if MakeEmoji will publish it.
Open Platforms and choose the accounts for this Set.
Your Set is the main list
Editing a Set does not change a platform right away. Check the Set, review the changes, then publish.
Step 2
Check your platforms
Choose Check in the Set sidebar or Check all at the top of the page. MakeEmoji compares your Set with each platform. Checking never changes an emote.
It finds missing emotes, different names, broken matches, and changed images.
Step 3
Review changes
Each platform and emote gets a status. Fix any missing names or matches before you publish.
- Aligned
- Every Set entry is on this platform.
- Aligned, needs review
- The emotes are there, but a name or match needs review.
- Needs attention
- An emote is missing, renamed, or changed.
- Stale
- The Set changed since the last check.
- Check failed
- MakeEmoji could not read this platform. The last result is shown.
Step 4
Publish changes
Choose Publish in the sidebar or Publish All at the top. Pick the platforms to update, then review the plan. The Publish Assistant asks you to confirm the changes.
Keep the extension on until it finishes. FrankerFaceZ submissions may wait for approval. If the extension is not available, MakeEmoji shows links for manual updates.
Important
How syncing works
Sets do not sync in the background. Run Check when you want a fresh comparison, then publish the changes you approve.
Extra emotes stay
By default, emotes that are only on a platform are left alone. You can choose to remove them from the channel while publishing.
Removing is not deleting
Removing an emote takes it out of the channel or Set. It does not delete the emote file from the provider.
